"The A.W.A.K.E. woman is preppy, quirky, elegant, simple, dreamy, and strong; but also fragile and sexy—but in a weird Japanese way (laughing). She is intelligent, modest, perceptive, sensitive, and chilled, but secretly passionate, sincere and honest, chic and sharp, and busy. Clothes are not important to her—beauty and effortlessness are." - Natalia Alaverdian

"I continue to try to think up of combinations which do not exist in reality yet. I combine opposing elements to create styles that work well." - Fumito Ganryu
Tokyo brand, Comme des Garcons started a youthful high fashion label titled Ganryu.
The designer is Fumito Ganryu who was formerly a pattern maker for Junya Watanabe. He showed us what a high fashion lumberjack would look like. His 2013 Fall/Winter collection was named "Unidentified" for its Avant Garde silhouettes and mix of streetwear and high fashion. My favorite part of the collection are the different levels of drop crotchpants, creepers, sneakers and well tailored coats.
This show definitely represents my personal style. I would wear all of this! It mixes preppy, and urban wear which i totally believe in.
Fenghuang
"Masaya Kushino", is known for his very innovative, bold, and dramatic style.
I picked Christian Dada's fall 2013 collection, in honor of Halloween for its dark/goth elements.
Designer Masanori Morikawa partnered up with Lady Gagas favorite shoe designer Masaya Kushino for this collection.
Masanori took his theme from the mythical bird Fenghuang, from which the idea of the Phoenix was born. Masaya Kushino took the bird theme literally, and added feathers to his footwear. The mixture of fur, leather and the lightness of the feathers made me fall head over heels with his shoes.
The styling is amazing, i love the way he added an element of embroidery to his pieces to soften them up. I think the real appeal of Christian Dada comes from the fact that he makes High Fashion pieces, with a street wear feel.
