Mandals
Kay Kwok took Sandals for men to an entirely different level.
His 2014 Spring/Summer London collection was inspired by NASA’s research into the earth’s magnetic fields. As a new designer looking to make his mark he definitely did with this outrageous but not unwearable designs. He actually collaborated with Youngwon Kim on the design of these magnificent shoes.
“I try to place myself somewhere in between commercial and extraordinary.” -Kay Kwok
Prada On The Moon
“I saw them as strong, visible fighters. We need to be fighters in general. There is this debate about women again, and I want to interpret it. My instrument is fashion. I use my instrument to be bold. I had this idea that if you wear clothes so exaggerated and out there, people will look, and then they will listen.” She chuckled. “It’s a sort of trick.” Then she added, “I want to be nasty.”
Miuccia Prada does something different again for her Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Miuccia wanted to show us what a powerful woman who is breaking barriers and is fighting for what i'm not quite sure would look like. These shoes aren't very sexy, but they definitely bring a streetwear element, with the sneaker/sandal look and leg warmers. Honestly they remind me of the purple mini trampoline Moon Shoes I had as a kid. lol
I'm interested to know how everyone feels about these, ladies would you wear them?
